Utilizing the detector probe method of helium leak
testing, MediVac's ASNT
certified technicians can locate leaks on hydrogen cooled
generators that would go undetected by bubble solutions and other
less sensitive methods. If a generator is failing to hold pressure after maintenance or prior to start-up it is not necessary to
pressurize or test the generator with hydrogen. Using two or three
standard cylinders of helium mixed with air or CO2as
a tracer gas the generator can be tested , repaired and re-tested
prior to being filled with hydrogen for operation. Leak
testing of operational generators is easily accomplished using one
of our hydrogen detectors. This test is performed in the same
manner as the helium test and provides similar test sensitivity. We
can also perform helium leak detection on the tubes and tube
sheets of the hydrogen coolers and quickly identify the exact
location of leakage. Please call or email
and we will get a quotation to you within minutes. Our technicians
can usually be anywhere in the world within a day or two.
